For institutions
Universities, research institutes and learned societies use ASNAP in three ways: to see the publication activity of their staff, to screen manuscripts before they leave the institution, and to run their own journals in the editorial cabinet. Terms are agreed individually with each institution.
Publication activity
Publications of staff are collected from open metadata (Crossref, ORCID, OpenAlex) and grouped by department and author, so that the research office sees what has been published, where, and with which identifiers. Reports can be exported for internal use.
Screening before submission
Authors of the institution screen manuscripts before submitting them to a journal: overlap with sources, indicators of machine-generated text and a check of the reference list. The report is returned to the author; the institution decides whether and how reports are shared within it. The method is the same as for every other text on ASNAP and is described in the methodology.
The institution’s own journals
Journals published by the institution receive the editorial cabinet: submissions with screening reports, peer review, correspondence with authors, issue composition and metadata exports. Each journal keeps its own editorial procedure and policy. Details are on the page for journals.
How to start
Write to us through the contact form with the name of the institution and what you would like to use. We answer within three working days and agree the scope, the number of users and the terms.
